Appointments

Summary

Appointments can be made for all our surgeries by either calling into the surgery or by telephone call. You may also send an email to the surgery to ask about appointments. Please only do this for non urgent appointments. (See the note at the bottom about emailing us). There is no restriction (within our opening hours) about when you can contact us.

Receptionists are instructed to give appointments within 48 hours, depending on circumstances, for example Dr's absences, holidays, surgery closing hours etc.

However, if you are asking for a particular Dr you will be offered the next available appointment with that doctor up to 12 weeks ahead. It is not possible to guarantee an appoinment with a specific dr within 48 hours.

Using Email to contact the Surgery

We are happy for you to contact us by email to ask about appointment availability. However do not use this method to ask for an urgent appointment or homevisit as it maybe the next day before you get a reply. You should be careful about discussing confidential information in an e-mail.
The practice will not discuss any confidential information in emails back to you because of confidentiality issues.
